Who am I?
My name is Raymond, (obviously) I live and work at a place called Promise in Brevard. It’s an apartment/community for people with disabilities in Florida… That’s not why we are here though. I could go on and on about Promise, let’s talk about me, and why this website exists.
I help produce two other podcasts, In Perspective, and Sports Roundtable. Bob Branco hosts those programs, so if you are looking for something else to listen too, I recommend you give those shows a chance. I also sometimes fill in as cohost if Peter who helps with in Perspective is not available. I have also volunteered at a special type of radio service that read newspapers or magazines for those who are unable to read the printed versions. I conducted interviews and helped with announcements for upcoming programs or fundraisers.
Where did Raymond’s Corner Come From?
I think it was about a little less than a year ago, that my friend Leslie shared her podcast with me, and I must admit the name was a great choice. It’s called Leslie’s Corner. I thought about it for a while, and decided that I liked the name, and decided to create Raymond’s Corner. I did ask her if she had any objections to this, as it was never my intent to steal anything from someone else, nor to in any way or form insult anyone. She did not mind, so off to start the journey where we are at now.
What you will find on this website is a central location where you will find audio and videos that I produce, links to all my social media content, and blog posts that I post to compliment my podcast. I will also post other things that I write about from time to time that are completely unrelated to my program.
What is The Point of My Podcast?
I created the podcast to accomplish two things. First, I wanted to help bring awareness to a variety of topics. Some of them include mental health and well-being. I’m always looking to learn about ways to deal with stress, depression, or anxiety, so I figure this is something else I can share with my listeners. Second, I have an interest in a variety of topics that aren’t related to mental health, so from time to time I might share those topics as well.
